Accessibility
RoadMap
At Electus People, accessibility is an essential part of who we are and how we operate.
We are committed to creating a digital experience that is inclusive, easy to navigate, and accessible to everyone — reflecting our broader values of care, connection, and community.
Our Commitment
We have designed and developed this website with accessibility in mind, following recognised best practices and technical standards to ensure our content is perceivable, operable, understandable, and robust for all users, including those using assistive technologies.
We align our work with leading accessibility standards, including:
1. Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA and progressing toward WCAG 2.2.
2. Australian Standard AS EN 301 549:2020 – Accessibility requirements for ICT products and services.
3. Australian Government Digital Service Standard (DSS) as set by the Digital Transformation Agency (DTA).
4. Disability Discrimination Act 1992 (Cth) – ensuring equal access to information and services.
5.ISO/IEC 40500:2012, the international standard equivalent of WCAG 2.0.
6. PDF/UA (ISO 14289) for accessible documents.
7. Plain Language and Inclusive Communication guidelines from the Australian Government Style Manual.
Our Current State
Our website already incorporates many accessibility-focused features, including:
1. Mobile-responsive design across all devices
2. Clear navigation and readable text
3. Strong colour contrast for improved visibility
4. Simple, plain-language content
5. Avoidance of auto-playing, flashing, or distracting media
6. We acknowledge there is always more to do. We are currently reviewing areas such as:
7. Ensuring all images and graphics have meaningful alternative text
8. Refining keyboard navigation and focus states
9. Enhancing form labelling and error feedback
10. Strengthening screen-reader compatibility
Our accessibility progress is ongoing — it is not a one-time project but a continual commitment. Accessibility considerations are built into our design and content processes and will always be included whenever we make changes or updates to our website.
Our Approach to Continuous Improvement
Accessibility is reviewed regularly and forms part of our digital development roadmap.
As new pages, features, or content are added, they are evaluated to meet accessibility best practice under WCAG 2.1 AA standards.
We aim to progressively enhance our compliance level while maintaining a welcoming, user-friendly experience for all visitors.
Feedback and Contact
We welcome feedback and suggestions from our community to help us improve.
