Care Manager – Residential Aged Care

$140,000 negotiable + relocation package + subsidised accommodation

We are seeking an experienced Care Manager (Registered Nurse) to lead clinical governance and care delivery within a residential aged care service located in the Western Downs region of Queensland.

This opportunity is with a well-established and highly respected aged care provider known for its people-focused culture, strong leadership support, and commitment to high-quality resident outcomes.

Key responsibilities

  • Provide clinical leadership across nursing and care teams
  • Ensure compliance with the Aged Care Quality Standards and relevant legislation
  • Lead accreditation preparation, audits, and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Oversee clinical documentation, incident management, and risk mitigation
  • Support workforce development, engagement, and performance management
  • Partner with senior leadership to drive care quality and service outcomes

Essential requirements

  • Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse (Division 1)
  • Demonstrated experience in a Care Manager, Clinical Manager, or equivalent senior clinical leadership role within residential aged care
  • Strong knowledge of:
    • Aged Care Quality Standards
    • Accreditation and audit processes
    • Clinical governance frameworks
  • Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary teams in a regulated environment
  • Strong communication, decision-making, and stakeholder management skills

Desirable

  • Postgraduate qualification in Aged Care, Health Management, or Leadership
  • Experience working in regional or rural aged care settings
