An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced Care Manager (Registered Nurse) to join a large, well-established residential aged care facility in Broken Hill, NSW.

Set in the famous outback town of Broken Hill in far west NSW, just three hours north of Mildura, this role offers a rare chance to lead within a beautiful facility surrounded by lovely gardens, while enjoying the lifestyle, community feel, and natural character of the region.

Key responsibilities

  • Lead clinical governance and care quality across the service
  • Ensure compliance with Aged Care Quality Standards, accreditation, and regulatory requirements
  • Provide leadership and support to nursing and care staff
  • Oversee clinical risk management, incident reporting, and documentation
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives aligned with best practice
  • Work collaboratively with operational and executive leadership teams

Essential requirements

  • Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse (Division 1)
  • Proven experience in a Care Manager, Clinical Manager, or similar senior clinical leadership role within residential aged care
  • Strong understanding of:
    • Accreditation standards and compliance requirements
    • Clinical governance and quality improvement
  • Demonstrated people leadership and workforce engagement capability
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills

Desirable

  • Postgraduate qualifications in Aged Care, Health Services Management, or Leadership
  • Prior experience in regional, rural, or remote aged care environments
